ABOUT EUREKA

Eureka is the students’ association for European studies at NTNU in Trondheim. Our goal is to have a clear presence and visibility for those studying European studies from day one, as well as to be the best and most active student association at Dragvoll. Eureka strives to offer a socially and academically engaging framework around our field of studies.

Eureka’s board consists of eight elected representatives, who oversee and coordinate the association’s work and events. Among their duties are planning and arranging events, designing and publishing our internal association magazine, serEØS, and promoting Eureka and its students towards businesses and other potential employers.

Among the events coordinated by Eureka is the renowned «fadderuka» («Freshmen week») during the first two weeks of the semester, in which older students help welcome freshmen to the university and the association. Apart from this, Eureka also arranges a multitude of other social events, like costume parties, exercise groups, choir practice, trips abroad to Brussels, the traditional «julebord», Thursday pub quiz and more.
